Dude, you got a threat?
Why would people threaten you?

Bizarre.

Anyways, whatever you do with the site, you've got my support chief.

Stop fi.v..e....r.....e......c.........o.............r.................

excerpt from a memo to Bry:

This sounds exciting! Everyone is buzzing! This internet stalker has become an instant celebrity!
I should just mention that we all realize you wouldn't do something this extreme unless there was a very good reason.
I have an idea about how you could take this thang underground, because you're right:
STop Five Records must never die!

First you should get all regular contributors to submit to you new potential valid blogger domain names (AKA STop Five's new name!) for your new site.
The winning entry should then be subject to whatever form of raffle-type contest you wish to name; although you will, of course, have the final say about all STop Five related matters.
Even if we choose not to stay with the actual Blogger domain, I think a new identity (still founded on the old) is a good idea at this time.

I visited http://topfiverecords.blogspot.com, and if it were possible i would suggest a hostile takeover of their operation.
However, anuther option is to not just change our address but to go completely off the grid, so to speak.
This would require some in-house web designers, which we have, to build layers of inspicuous web sites acting as gateways and password-protected go-betweens to our new site.
Like Robin Hood's secret hideout, or the BatCave, or best of all The Lost World of Arthur Conan Doyle.

The whole point of all this is, of course, to avoid threats of harm to us personally and also to the important work we do.
To accomplish this we must either maintain a publicly accessible site with as little or no personal information on it as possible or we can choose to drop off the face of the earth, inviting into our secret society only those whom Bryan personally approves.
My gosh it is the Lost World! Only the one man who has been there himself can guide others to it. And so it can be with us.

Oh man, this is so cool I'm geekin out like crazy!
Anyway, for the consideration of the Society of (see this is why we need a new identity) I leave this post.

Stop Five Records

I had to delete the sight :(

I got a very scary threat, and because some full names are on the sight, I thought it might be best to cut ties, I have archived all lists and will try to open up a new sight.

sorry

I loved that sight,
can you tell people not to worry, stop five will never die

Hehehehehe...a hoot. Who says that? But it's true. No worries Dan, no offense taken. And for your information, Dan was away this entire week and we didn't see each other at all. But I didn't really have any new friends to try to see. However I would have tried if I did.
Anyways...what matters is that today he comes home. HOOORAY!!!! WEEEEEEHHHHH!!! WOOOO HOOOOOO!!!! I am so excited! So, so, so excited! I literally can't wait!

It finally happened today.
I finally gave Heffei away.

It was a heroic yet sad final drive to the High School to give him away. I had to charge the car up for an hour and a half, and pump up the tire before I could go. But he made it, because he's a great car. I hope some kid falls in love with him and decides to fix him up. It's funny, I was praying for the new owner of my car as I went down to the school. It felt kind of cheesy, but I just wanted God to bless the new owner like He's blessed me. It's one of those "couldn't hurt" prayers I suppose. Anyways, I must now find a new car.

And by the way Slynn, you and Dan must both find new friends.
Seriously. You should set aside one day a week where you're literally not allowed to see eachother, only other friends. And that way you'll have to find some. I would suggest some kind of party at your grandfather's. He's a hoot.

I'm super tired, so I hope that last paragraph wasn't somehow offensive. I tend to overspeak my mind when I'm tired.

Thoughts from the mind of Slynn

Guys, I really like you all so much! And I miss everyone terribly. I'm a little bit lonely and having a tough time adjusting here in the "beautiful Okanagan valley." Give me some ocean, some big city feel and I'll be okay. I do have my incredibly wonderful fiance who is so amazing...so I'm not complaining...I just want you all to know that you are loved and appreciated so much. And know what else I was thinking? The people who are my true friends are people who I respect tremendously. I think I haven't necessarily been feeling overly respected here and I've realized how important it is to me. So also know that you are respected.
I realize this is such a sappy blog, but it's my only chance right now to express myself and I suppose that I am in a sappy mood. I hope you all don't mind.
In other news, Dan and I went camping this weekend with my folks. It was certainly an experience! I wouldn't recommend camping alone with your folks when you're not married yet, at a campside in the middle of nowhere with no showers or anything. It actually wasn't terrible. There just wasn't a whole lot to do...a little more people stimulation would have been nice. Plus I came down with the stomach flu really bad and stayed in the tent the entire day one day. Dan got to take care of me while I puked in the bushes. Now that's true love!
Congratulations to Moey's mom who got married this weekend. I can't wait to hear about it.
Is anyone coming to Kelowna for the wedding next weekend?
You can pray for me too (by the way Dan, I have been, and will be praying for you). I want to get involved in some sort of counselling, community thing. Perhaps even volunteering for a while. I need to participate in something meaningful outside of myself. Something that makes a difference. Wedding plans just don't cut it. But I still have been sick a lot and don't want to take on too much. Pray for that too.
I might go on a houseboat today. My stomach is still a bit sore though. Either that, or really, really hungry. Sometimes it's hard to tell the difference, you know what I mean?
Alrighty, I'm done for now.

I've been working alot this week.
I've done alot of heavy labour for a light amount of money. That needs to change.

Guys, pray for me. I want to start doing some kind of good job.

Soon.

So I haven't blogged here in a loooooooong time, but I have a story worth mentioning. The other night, Dan was dropping me off at home and it was pretty late. We were just sitting in the car talking about our plans for the next day when all of a sudden Dan screamed (and I mean screamed!), "HOLY COW!" Startled from my sleepy state, I bolted to life and looked out the window to see the hugest, blackest, cow walkiing right beside the car. Now let me tell you...I live in a residential neighbourhood, quite far away from any farms or anything like that. It was the oddest site I had ever seen. The cow just went trotting down the street, stopping at people's lawns for a second and moving along. But then we heard a vehicle coming and wondered, was this the owner of this lost cow? No, it was not. It was, in fact, the cops, following this cow around. Two cop cars actually, driving along slowly, but doing nothing really to stop the cow. We seriously wondered if we had imagined it all. But a few minutes later as I was heading inside, we see this huge black shadow run through the street...and two cops following. Then on Dan's way home, he said he saw it again at a pretty busy intersection, with the cop cars just sitting there.
And that was that. I wonder what came of the cow.
