Head Case

It seems that even after years of dealing with a certain person, they can get in your head and mess with you. I saw it coming, I could see it coming from the moment we started talking, but I was held powerless to stop it or even deflect it. I know what she says isn't true, but somehow she has a way to say things so that they have enough truth that the rest becomes believable. She knows me to well, knows what buttons to push even after so many years of being apart. I wish I could just shut her out of my life, but I have resigned myself to the fact that no matter what she will always be a part of me. She is my mom, and though she can turn me into a head case with a quick turn of phrase, I can't cut her out of my life and trust me I have tried. I went almost 3 years without talking to her, and have not physically seen her in almost 9, but somehow she still manages to screw with my head. Either she is really good at it, or I suck at sanity. Take your pick.

Dan, now I understand

I never really realized how many different people worked at the library. There's like 10 people working right now. It doesn't really seem like any of them are doing much, but I'm sure they're all quite busy. Looking around, I see old people struggling to use the computers, and little Asian kids playing games.

So I'm still unemployed, though that's mostly my fault. I did have a job at Chapters, but I managed to show up 2 hours late on my first day! Oh well, c'est la vie. I had another interview last week at what turned out to be a telemarketing gig. That's not what they said on the phone, the bastards! Next week, I'm pretty much guaranteed a job at Blockbuster, or so my friend Josh says. Well, a job's a job, I guess.

I think I had some interesting anecdote to include here, but it has since escaped me. Maybe I only dreamed it up. That's possible.

Being home, I get to watch a lot of movies on TV. I also wrapped Star Wars Battlefront II a week before it came out, and again the other day. It's a good game, Josh; you should try to get your hands on it. I have been especially enjoying the movies on the Women's Network: Aliens, True Lies, something else along that line I can't quite remember. Not exactly movies you'd expect on that station.

Well, apararently I'm being kicked off. I hate how this place is run. I'm supposed to still have 7 minutes left.

I'd hammer in the evening,

Your mom is being ironic

Oh snap!
That's right snap.
Deal with it.
Two nights in a row of going to bed before midnight.
I think I might almost be a normal person again.
Now give me a job and all will be right with the world.
Stick it to the man.
Unless you are the man.
Then stick it to yourself.

The sun is being ironic

Today was beautiful. And I only worked until 11:00. What a waste of a good day. I'll probably freeze tomorrow. To death. That'll show that stupid sun. Then it'll wish it had been nicer to me.

I've been thinking alot lately. Does that mean I have anything to write here?
If you answered no, you are correct. You win nothing.

"I've been really trying baby
to hold back this feeling
for so long
And if you really feel
the way I do sugar
Well come on
come on

Let's get it on"
