Shocked, Appalled and Flabergasted 


I am quite to surprise to note that Legoland still has more posts than Stop Five. I would have thought by now, looking at the nature of the two blogs, that Stop Five would be the larger by now. This post calls for a song. They always do.

Instead of buying a cd, I bought a ticket to Nova Scotia.
I'm excited.
Although I don't think I'll do that every payday.

I'm going to buy a cd today. I've decided that I should buy a cd each time I get a paycheck.
I have no idea what I'm going to buy.
Here are my payday purchases so far (from what I remember):

Gordon Lightfoot: The Best of Gordon Lightfoot
Bruce Springsteen: The Rising
Led Zeppelin: Led Zeppelin II
The Talking Heads: Speaking in Tongues

I'm thinking about buying the Postal Service cd. Or maybe something folky. I think I want more of a mellow one this time. But we shall see.

On another note, I listened to my band's cd last night. Man that recording sucks. The songs are good, but the recording quality is just so bad. I want to try it again. With some kind of a real studio.

My house doesn't have hot water right now. I've had 2 cold showers in a row.
I also don't have a room. The furnace guys are there.
I miss having a room.
And a shower.

So Irented "Saved" last night. It's quite the movie. I thought it was good. It was definitely interesting. I found that the Christian characters were a little bit overdone. I'm sure some of that is on purpose, but I think some of it also comes from the fact that this movie is from an "outsider's" perspective. The people who did this movie clearly did not grow up in church. Which made it a little less believable on the whole (example: the scene where Mandy Moore is singing, and everyone is raising their hands. They don't quite catch the whole hand-raising thing right). Anyways, it was still good. Quite a cool, if a little vague, picture of grace.

Anyways, where the hell is everyone?
