There comes a day in every hockey fans life when all the turmoil and pain of missed chances and close moments gives way to new life and fresh hope. Today is that day. After 14 long years of "Should-haves" and "could haves," fate (and dare I say luck) has finally thrown the Oilers a frickin bone. Yes, the Oilers have advanced to the Western finals. Forget the '97 upset of the Stars. Forget the heroic come from behind victory after being down 3-1 to the Avs. None of it matters now, because the Oil have a date with destiny. Bring on the Ducks, cause it's hunting season and Smyth just bought himself a new shotgun.
