HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRYAN!!!

I don't like this new-fangled 'Title' field.
Well, Melissa, these people weren't Christians. Not in any way I would define. Certainly not in any real way. To be a Christian is to be Christ-like, and to want to be like him. I think that includes a desire to bear his name as we let others see him through us. We can wear the name of Christian today just as proudly as the early church did - it was an insult then and it's an insult now. Let the foolishness of others give you the opportunity to tell your friends who Jesus Christ really is.

this is for you Moey
alot of humans suck
but seriously
I have now alot of experience in fields that Christians work in traditionally.
the thing is that alot of non-christians work in these fields too...
the way Christians go about their business, not all or most, but some, is dramatically different and smiling than anything you could see. I think if you just take time to look at christians around yourself (moey, you are a great example), you might find it more bareable. It helps me....
we all go through that... definately understand. but seriously
world vision makes me smile
Christian Childrens Fund makes me smile
charitable trends make me smile
honesty that my friends put out there makes me smile
this is for you
hopefully it makes me smile
good luck dear
thankyou for being great

Yesterday I went to HMV and purchased two cds for $25. Those two cds were Wilco - "Summerteeth", and the Shins - "Oh, Inverted World." Thus in an instant I became "Indie Rock guy". And only two years behind the wave. That's the Dan Donkers way for you.
Anyways, there is a show on the 25th. Joel Plaskett is coming to Vancouver. Everyone that I've talked to about this guy (Luke, HMV girl, and maybe HA) say he's excellent. So if anyone wants to go to this show, let me know. I'll find out the location and time soon.
Later.

Hey! I kind of liked Donker's poem. It wasn't super great, but it wasn't the worst either. It did make me smile. And I know that usually is not a difficult accomplishment, but for me, it meant a lot. So thank you Donkers for your poem. And for the phone call. And for the record, I did call Moey back. So it's all good now. And I may disappear again sometime soon. So don't say I didn't warn you.

Worst Haiku Ever - for Donkers
Worst haiku ever,
Written by Daniel Donkers
Thursday, March the tenth
"Once I read a book
And this is what it said
If your music has a beat
Then you’re gonna wind up dead
It doesn’t really matter if it’s Christian or not
If it’s syncopated rhythm then your soul is gonna rot
And this book was called, 'Ha! your gonna burn!'
And in the second chapter I went on to learn"
"Take two houseplants
And put them to the test..."

Today is the sunniest day in the history of March. If you haven't been outside today, you need to go right now! That means you Andrew Blackwood!
A Haiku for Slynn
Moey has called you
You should answer her phone call
I will call you soon
Worst Haiku ever.
But all true.

a lot of people i know, or, more accuratly, a lot of people i have been getting to know, hate God, or, at the very least, Christians.
and i don't blame them.
i'm not saying that i think it's fair to pin some Christians, or "Christians", behaviour on all of us, and especially on God. and i'm not saying that i hate God or Christians. but i get why they do.
some examples.
Kim-a lesbian who has been in a monogamous relationship for 10 years and whi is currently planning their wedding. 20 years ago she was engaged to a guy and got preganant with his child. they broke up before getting married...she is lesbian and the guy turned out to be gay. she had their son, and he was taken away from her when he was 3 by "religious relatives", and she hasn't seen her son since. they told her that as a lesbian she had no right to have a child and that if she would admit that she wasn't a lesbian "God would let her have her child back."
Nick- a gay man who moved from Calgary less than a year ago because a rather violent group of Christians found out he was gay and beat him at least once a week "in the name of God", sending him to the hospital twice.
Nathan- a skater boy who lives with his girlfriend, has 2 Christian friends that he grew up with that every time he sees tell him that he is going to hell. he thinks it's funny, doesn't actually think he's going to hell, but can't take anything they say seriously.
Danielle- had a boyfriend break up with her when she was 19 because "God told him to". that boyfriend started dating her best friend, another Christian, within a week. her friend then stopped being her friend, giving her the reason that "being friends with you has made me get closer to the devil", and that she felt sorry for her because she was going to hell.
this is just a sampling.
it breaks my heart.
this is the part where i feel like i should give answers or insight. but i think maybe this time i'm just going to leave it what it is.

Two questions, Slynn:
A) Was the restaurant nice enough to get married in, or the guy's bathroom?
B) How did you end up with Dan in the end? I thought I was the hero.
"If there's something strange
In your neighborhood
Who you gonna call
Ghostbusters!
If there's something weird
And it don't look good
Who you gonna call
Ghostbusters!"
"I ain't afraid of no ghost
I ain't afraid of no ghost"
